Automobile Loan Guide

Guides to Automobile loan

I have a Capital One auto loan, I've paid on time and more than minimum for 19 months now. I've heard of the concept of re-financing a current loan and adding to it to purchase another vehicle–probably not ideal financially but maybe good for me. Does anyone have experience with this?
I share vehicle situation with my fiancee–we share the cost of the first car we're paying, and we're looking to add a second. Seems relevant based on answers.

Absolutely you can, you will find that getting deeper into debt is never a problem. Finance companies love your money.

How come one can refinance cars, houses, loans, etc, except student loans. You get a consolidated rate versus refinancing a student loan

You can, I get offers from banks all the time, just be aware that you'll lose some of the priviledges such as a forbearance, etc.

which company in New Jersey has the lowest Car Insurance?

Typically, insurance rates will vary from State to State and can even vary by ZIPCODE! It also will depend on the type of car/truck, coverages, limits of liability, and driving record. Some companies run credit scores and MOST run a motor vehicle report and CLUE (Comprehensive Loss Underwriting Exchange) report to see about undisclosed accident involvement.

The best thing to do is call a LOCAL independent agent. Don't go across town, or to some other city - look for someone CLOSE. Just look in the phone book for the PIA or Big I (Trusted Choice) logos and you will find a professional licensed agent that will be able to help you solve your insurance problems, and give you rate comparisons of several different companies. In NJ, you also have the NJ Auto Agents Alliance - and these agents "specialize" in auto insurance.

Keep in mind, that it was not too long ago…folks were going over in to PA JUST to find affordable auto insurance!

An independent insurance agent will normally have a dozen different companies and if he cannot help you, he should be networked with other local agents that can.

In my agency, we have companies that do NOT run a credit score and welcome drivers with "less than perfect" driving records and specialize in youthful operators!

Stay away from all of the cars that you would LIKE to be driving and settle for something more sedate - don't mix numbers and letters (300ZX, Z28, 240Z, Z71, M3, Z3 and the like) - instead, lean toward the 4dr sedan like Toyota Corolla, Nissan Altima. If you want REALLY CHEAP - look at the KIAs and Hyundais - but, you get what you pay for.

Most of the replies on this site say "go to this on-line carrier or that on-line carrier or that 1-800 number" but I'm sure that when you do, you will find some impersonal computer user with a script to work from and you won't be able to talk with the same person every time you have a problem!

Good luck, drive RESPONSIBLY and I hope this helps!

cheap auto Insurance in miami, fl?

Posted by admin On June - 16 - 2009

I recently moved here and need to buy insurance for my car. Ive been searching on-line and i am overwhelmed on how expensive the rates are here in fl compared to California where i use to live. I have never had quotes in the 100’s.

so do u know a cheap auto insurance company here in miami, fl
I have a 95 ford mustang cv

my brother lives in miami and the cheapest he could get on his truck was through geico insurance and it was in the hundreds also, all you can do is ask around and get some quotes on it,its real expensive to live there especially if you have to get insurance, good luck.

Saved up for my car, bought it and now abit short of cash and can't afford the large deposit these companies are wanting. Is there a car insurance company who will offer monthly payments without a deposit?

My brother done this before but the company he done it with now ask for deposit because I tried.

I have just gone through peopleschampion.com looking for better insurance, in most cases they are asking for a deposit the AA FOR INSTANCE for a sum of £171.36, a deposit of £15.93 and11 months of £17.14. Looking down the list at more than 30 companies they all want a deposit of some kind. I don't think you will get anything without a deposit, a bit like hire purchase you could say.

I moved to USA-NJ two months ago. And I bought a car. They want about 1500 for a freakin insurance!! (only for 6 months)
In my country (cyprus) we pay about 350 for whole year!!

You picked an extreme state to move to. NJ insurance rates are super high, compared to anywhere else I've lived. 3 times more than IL, and WI. Shop around. If you qualify for New Jersey Manufacturers Insurance, that will be your best bet. They are by far the cheapest rates in the state. I have a friend that went from $1700 a year to under $1000. So if you can get that, I recommend it. Good luck.

Your policy should still offer medical payments. I moved from a PIP state to a nonPIP state. The medical payments on the auto policy are still primary (in my nonPIP state) due to injury from a vehicle (accident or closing door on your hand, etc). Your medicare will be secondary. I would also check with Medicare to see what they do & do not cover for injuries related to a car accident.

Car insurance for a 16 year old?

Posted by admin On June - 16 - 2009

What would an estimated car insurance amount be for a 16 year olds first car being a 2000 BMW 323 i?
I have taken drivers ed, I live in michigan, and it will be added on to my families insurance that we already have.
and area i live in is a small town, population about 10k. hardly any crime rate.

It depends on a lot of a factors, such as your location, whether you have taken drivers training ect. But it will be expensive. I did a rough estimate and got a quote of about $5000 per year. That is with full coverage for a male with no driver's trainiing. Again it depends alot on your location and the coverages you want, so for a more accurate quote, you need to do one yourself

To get a quote go to go to http://www.auto-insurance-knowledge.com/24-hour-insurance-quote-auto.html
This will compare all companies in your area and give you the lowest prices

There's a good chance that you'll be paying more. Good thing is that you'll be on that policy to negate his surcharges (meaning your discounts will at least lower the effects of his surcharges) and you'll be getting a married discount. Also if either of you are under 25, you both automatically start getting the rates for people over that age. There's a good chance that you won't be paying TOO much more, but the best thing to do is just check.

You don't want to do anything daft like.. exclude him. That would mean that if he had to use the vehicles, he'd be doing so illegally and wouldn't be covered to drive those vehicles at all.
